Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre
Lil Wayne is celebrating 20+ years of Carter Classics on this tour that will see him and his crew hit up the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park on Sunday August 24th. The man's bringing a new album to share with the fans titled "Tha Carter VI." You better catch up on some of these tracks so you're not caught off guard if you're planning to see Wayne live!
Part of his crew includes Tyga, who obviously has both his own set of beats and even fan base that he'll bring to the show. It's real cool to see though that these two are still working together after all these years. That's super rare in the industry, but Tyga accepting this second fidle role is amazing for fans becuase you get two top rappers for the price of one.
Belly Gang Kushington's gonna be the man in charge of opening the show. He's been in the business for just a few years, at least in the mainstream. He kind of looks like Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst, but nah, he's got some tight rap beats that will put you in the right mood for when Tyga and Wayne hit the stage.

This show promises new music, but it's set to feature the same type of vibes that you know from Lil Wayne. A little bit of autotune mixed with the fast vocals that have always been a staple of Lil Wayne. Even though he's coming in hot with his latest album, there's a sense of familiarity to these shows. If you grew up idolizing hip-hop stars in the 2000s, you'll know when you see it. They don't necessarily need incredible visuals to generate a party vibe that's going to have everyone up on their feet. Wayne's certainly got that magic in him, and that's why you won't want to miss this live experience.
"Love Me," "Let It All Work Out," and "Lollipop" are three tracks that are guaranteed to appear on the setlist at the Credit Union Amphitheatre. Expect some new tracks to perhaps make their debut at live shows. If you want to try your hand at singing the fast vocals that Lil Wayne's known for in all of the songs that he brings to the stage, make sure to add some of the songs from his latest album to your regular playlists leading up to this concert. As mentioned, though, with a performer like this, it's more about the vibe than anything else. It's a chance to see someone who, for many, was a childhood idol in a live setting.
If you're close to the stage, you're going to feel that aura that the performers bring with them; it's a party all the way from doors to curtains! The thing is, you might have to be physically fit. You're going to be up on your feet for hours, and there's no shame in admitting that's just not the type of experience you want to have. The seats within the theater can be more comfortable and closer to food and drinks. Then you've got the lawn area at the back as well. Each spot can provide its own benefits; it just comes down to the type of experience you're looking to have.
