Junior H is one of the most talented performers in the Mexican corridos scene by a mile! You're going to have a chance to see that live in Tinley Park, but you know that coming in. He's the man behind "El Hijo Mayor" and "5-7." On corridos alone, he could make this an epic night. If recent memory serves, you know a lot of these guys are going to want to get their corridos into the live shows here in the US with the issues they're having in Mexico. With Junior H, you also have a set of emotional tracks for the tough dudes going through a rough time with their girl. You don't get that kind of range with any performer, just saying!
When the first sounds of that tambora start cutting through this venue, you're going to realize you're at a full-blown Mexican fiesta. Junior H and a lot of the top guys in corridos tend to appear on each other's live performances. Don't be too surprised if we get a ton of the top singers in the genre taking the stage. Even if it's just Junior H, he's got "pa dar y repartir" with a music library that can bring people all over the place emotionally. You're going to want to dress the part with your boots and your tejana, and maybe make sure you have a beer in hand or something stronger to enjoy this one.
This is actually a tough one because you can have just as much fun right next to the stage as you can dancing out on the lawn. Some of the "underrated" spots are in the middle of the theater. If you're in one of the front rows in a section, you can have some extra leg room, which is much needed for those who want to get up and dance. Ideally, look for something with a good view or at least some added space to spread out a bit!
