Fuerza Regida is one of the top names in Mexican regional music, but the band was actually formed in San Bernardino, California. Jesús Ortiz Paz, Samuel Jaimez, Khrystian Ramos, José García, and Moisés López began playing together around 2015 as an homage to their Mexican heritage. From the beginning, though, it was clear that they wanted to mix corridos with mainstream sounds, particularly those from electronic music. This combination of both worlds has given the band the unique style that they’ve been able to capitalize on. It was, without a doubt, a risky proposition. Traditionalist fans of corrido music may not have been on board with these new age sounds.
