New Music - A Breach

Last year's "Clancy" was supposed to be the final chapter in the world that the band had created which all began in "Blurryface". It seemed that they've breached the deal with their last album, which was billed to be the grand finale. However, they left everyone with a cliffhanger. With a new song out, "The Contract", fans are bracing themselves for the real deal. 

"Hello Clancy. Hello Blurryface. Let's finish this," the band wrote on social media.

Looking forward to head back to the road, the band shared a teaser featuring footage from their previous tours. Known to perform theatrical and heart-pumping sets, get ready to be amazed by Twenty One Pilots' live surprises. "We are getting back on the road for one more trip around North America," they worte on a caption.

A Living Legacy of Different Worlds

The band has become one of the biggest alternative acts in the industry today. Known for their genre-bending tendencies, they've encompassed multiple genres including alt-pop, alt-rock, hip-hop, electropop, pop rap, emo, R&B, synth-pop, hard rock, and many more. Relatable lyrics with psychodramatic themes, their songs feature things that Joseph wanted to say that he didn't know how to in a normal conversation. On "Blurryface", this deep and eerie world all begand through their Diamond-certified singles "Stressed Out" and "Ride". The story carried on through their succeeding albums "Trench", "Scaled and Icy", and "Clancy". Now, we're getting the final piece on "Breach".

"I realize that there is such an opportunity inside of the music to provide that storytelling … Not so much a concept album or concept song that you can’t extract your own experience from it," Joseph told Alternative Press in 2021.

"But for it to be grounded in some bigger story always felt more impactful," he explained, sharing no matter how deep you venture into the abyss, there'll alsways be something that ties us back to where we came from.

Across the board, they have raked up 45 awards and a total of 157 nominations. They won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance in 2017 for "Stressed Out". At the time when "Heathens" took over, they became the first alternative artist in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 to have two top-five singles at the same time. They were also the third among rock acts to do so, joining The Beatles and Elvis Presley.
