Nickelback from Alberta, Canada, formed in 1995 and became one of the world’s most well-known bands. The four-member group, led by renowned vocalist Chad Kroeger, has released several number 1 rock songs, including “How You Remind Me,” “Someday,” “Figured It Out,” “Photograph,” “Animals,” and many more. One could say that Nickelback has figured out the formula for creating number 1 hits. Since releasing their debut album, Curb, in 1996, Nickelback has released a total of ten highly-acclaimed efforts. In 2001, the band made their first breakthrough with the first major label album, Silver Side Up. The album, preceded by hits “How You Remind Me,” “Too Bad,” and “Never Again,” topped the Canadian chart and peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200. Moreover, the album sold over ten million copies worldwide, six million of which were sold in the U.S.
In 2005, Nickelback released their best-selling effort, All the Right Reasons. The album, which topped the Canadian and U.S. charts, sold over 18 million copies worldwide. In the U.S., the album earned a diamond certification after selling over seven million copies. The album’s success was due to its highly-popular singles, including “Photograph,” “Animals,” “Far Away,” Rockstar,” and more.
